AprilAire 50 Low Voltaje Current Sensing Relay for Whole-House Humidifiers

The AprilAire Model 50 Low Voltage Current Sensing Relay helps protect the precision components of your AprilAire Whole Home Humidifier, such as the solenoid valve and transformer, from harmful feedback current, and it ensures that the humidifier operates only when the furnace blower is running to distribute humidity throughout your home. The relay allows the humidifier to be wired to a live power source but the circuit will close, allowing the humidifier to turn on, only when appropriate current is going to the furnace blower motor.

The relay unit is a compact size of 1 inch x 1.44 inches x 2.75 inches so it’s easy to fit into most any installation configuration. The voltage range is 21-24 VAC, 50-60 Hz. Sensing current is a minimum of 4.0 amps. Operates in an ambient temperature range of 40-104 degrees Fahrenheit. Load ratings are Maximum (12 watts) 0.50 amps and Minimum (3 watts) 0.12 amps. Compatible with all AprilAire Whole House Evaporative Humidifiers in the 400, 500, 600, 700 series. Can be used in conjunction with either an Automatic or Manual Humidifier Control (Humidistat). Humidifier and Humidistat sold separately.
